I particularly like this shot because of the tones. It has a feel far more of a pencil drawing than it does a photograph while the movement of focus reenforces an idealised concept.

This is one of those Love it or Hate it images. It is represents a real challange in terms of form and concept. Deliberatly out of focus and cropped harshly, this in an image about colour and perception of vision.

One of my favorite images of 2006. I love the colours and the tone of this image the magenta's work well off the blues and we are give a clear indication of the journey between one stage in a flowers life and another.

The Sun

This is an interesting image. Melbourne was beset by a large number of Bushfires and the subciquent smoke made for some dynaminc images of the sun. This shot was taken at twilight and I think really gives a lot in terms of colour and overall presentation of just what the sun looks like. Surrounding the sun are wires and metlal beams which highlight the idea of industry with in the natural setting.

This image for my mind really represents something of Australia. An often barron landscape which is still beautiful while at the same time extreme. This is a panoramic shot concisting of 5 images totaling an image with is 12,000 x 3200. I really like the colours of this image and I like the way the monument stands mejestically on the hill. To the left of the image is a branch and a bush. Both of which I think give depth to what could be a very flat image Colour is what really makes this image stand out. It is an idealised representation of Australia.
